It's safe to say, the lawn in front of one's house is generally owned by the residents of that household

So what are you supposed to do when you come home to your apartment at 9 pm and there are two random complete strangers laying on your front lawn together, yes a guy and girl..... just kissing and talking? I continued to walk straight to the front door, thinking they would be embarrased, apologize and leave,,,, well saying nothing was the first problem, because they stayed put and continued..... mostly i did NOT want to other people to walk by and think it was one of our roommates or even me.... no making out on others front lawns..... i should have figured from the start if they have the nerve to just lay down and do dumb things on my front lawn, they probably wouldn't move unless otherwise asked.... i didn't want it to come to that.... i mean what do you say that isn't socially awkward. at first I thought it must have been someone playing a joke, or breaking a social norm.... after double, then triple checking that I didn't know them, i got the courage to walk out and politely ask them to leave..... what do you say though, like this is my front lawn, you are making me feel uncomfortable....
Well this is how is went down, i walk out my front door, they don't move (at this point it's been 10 minutes).... i go to get the mail, i turn around and they are still right there un-moved. This situation needed to end, even if it was going to be awkward... i walked over to them, double checked that it was no one I knew and then said excuse me, could you two move somewhere else? The boy sits up 100% shocked and apologizes. he told me they were just looking for a quiet place to sit down. First of all they certainly were NOT sitting, they were laying, intertwined and secondly ninth east is hands down the busiest street in provo, so it's pretty much the silliest explanation ever. Then he says sure we can move... but is this your front lawn? I said yes it is.... in my head I was thinking well duh, i have walked in and out of my front door 3 different times, but maybe you were so caught up in whatever you were doing with your girlfriend that it didn't dawn on you; usually the front lawn in the front of one's house is also owned by the one's who happen to live in that house,.... wierdest question i have ever been asked in my life.... i still can't quite figure out what the heck they were doing there, on my lawn at 9:30 pm on a Monday night.
